The first piece
Fortress
A cigar ashtray built like architecture. Heavy, quiet, and designed to protect the ritual from the wind.

Fortress · Ivory
One object. Nothing to add, nothing to take away.
A deep well for the ash, a single rest cut into the wall, and a base that sits flat and heavy. Fortress does the one thing an ashtray must do, and does it without decoration.

Design
Drawn from the citadel.
Thick walls, a notched rampart, feet like footings. The proportions come from fortification, not tableware — mass that protects the moment of a slow cigar. The guard lifts off; the tray stands alone. Every edge is a plane, every corner a right angle.

Mass
Substantial weight and a low, stable stance keep Fortress composed on the table.
Rest
A single cut in the wall holds the cigar without pinching the wrapper.
Guard
The removable guard helps shield the ash from the wind outdoors and lifts away indoors.
Gallery
Where the ritual happens.
On the table and on the rock, guard up or lifted away, in Black and in Ivory.
